            Field of Dreams HOPE Ranch & Education, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) registered tax-exempt non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with disabilities through participation in hands-on professional education workshops, activities and nature programs.

            I am greatly pleased to introduce you to our HOPE Ranch project, in which we believe you will take great interest. It is our understanding that you are thinking of donating. Your tax-deductible donations will be used solely for educational purposes of benefit to our youth. That being the case, we believe that our endeavor is worthy of your consideration, and we desire to ask for a donation.

Through our five-day camp programs, children with disabilities will have the opportunity to interact with the natural world. They will be able to play with and care for the animals on the farm, as well as participating in various other outdoor activities, including horseback riding, milking cows, gathering eggs, fishing, studying the stars, etc. There will also be many indoor activities such as making bread, churning butter, and learning about food and nutrition.

            Throughout the week, our excellent staff and volunteer teams will conduct workshops and classes in which the children will learn about the physical and biological world around them, as well as the spiritual world inside them. We will explore their individual gifts, talents, and possibilities beyond what they may now see as limitations, while creating dreams and goals for the future.

            We are very excited about our plans for the ranch house and other ranch amenities. On the first floor of the main house there will be a spacious community room where most indoor activities will take place. There will be a large mess hall with a commercial kitchen, as well as outdoor picnic areas. A medical room on each floor will provide for on site first aid and other minor medical needs. Upstairs will be ten bedrooms, each large enough to accommodate four children comfortably. Each room will have a private restroom. There will also be shower facilities located in the upstairs medical room for those children who require assistance with bathing. The counselors' quarters will be directly across from the children's rooms. There will be two bedrooms for the counselors, each accommodating four adults.

 Outside, near the main house, will be a barn that will house a variety of farm animals. There will be a range area for the cows and other animals, stables for the horses, and approximately three miles of hiking/horseback-riding trails for exploring the natural world. Our plans further include ponds for fishing and studying ecosystems, as well as an observatory for studying and exploring the universe.

 We are excited about the quality of the medical professionals, and other highly trained personnel, that have already expressed their interest and intent to work with us at HOPE Ranch. In addition to our paid professional staff, we anticipate having a numerous and diverse volunteer team. Qualified adults living with disabilities will also have the opportunity to work with the children. We will utilize the individual talents and specialties of all personnel to best suit the needs of the children.

 Because the Field of Dreams HOPE Ranch is a new venture, there is naturally substantial start-up costs. Of course we are seeking private and federal grants but it requires more resources than we have and any support from you will be greatly appreciated and used to aid us in acquiring grant funding. Our goal is to raise $10,000 through personal contributions from people like YOU! This will provide the capital we need to get professional services necessary to secure future funding. You can be confident that your donations will be used appropriately. Because Field of Dreams HOPE Ranch is a tax-exempt non-profit corporation, all financials of the company are public and highly scrutinized by the IRS. Money may only be spent as the board of directors dictates and must comply with federal regulations.
